The aim of this project was to transform an underused corner of the garden into a more practical and attractive spa area. The space already featured a hot tub on timber decking beside a Wendy house, but with the grandchildren having outgrown it, the decision was made to reduce the size of the structure and incorporate a shower and storage area for garden furniture cushions.
The new design incorporated a sauna alongside the adapted Wendy house, which now provides a shower area and useful storage for garden furniture cushions. Early photographs show the sauna being constructed neatly against the reduced outbuilding, helping to create a cohesive and functional layout.

To ensure the finished look blended beautifully with the surrounding garden, the remaining sauna cladding was reversed to match the neighbouring structure. Composite decking was then installed over Easter to complete the project and bring the whole spa garden together.
The build itself was relatively straightforward thanks to the detailed manuals provided. All of the panels were clearly labelled, which made assembly simple.

“Tip: Put a door on the shower, as a bird has nested on the cushions!”
All in all very happy with the sauna in our spa garden.
