Saunas have brought people together for centuries and lots of burgeoning businesses still want to bring that feeling of calm and relaxation to their customers. We make purchasing saunas super easy with our flat-packed ready-to-go styles that can be assembled on site. So whether you’re a small spa or a large hotel, you can choose a sauna that your customers will fall in love with.
A commercial sauna is similar to a home sauna but it is designed for extensive use by customers. We have designed special heavy duty styles for our Finnish range, which can be used for more than 20 hours a week – which means your customers can do a lot of bathing. But we make sure that they still feel the same intimate, comfortable experience.
Setting up your sauna
All of our saunas come flat-packed with assembly instructions. Unless you’re a dab hand at DIY, we suggest you choose a local fitter or carpenter to install it. If you can’t find anyone local, we can recommend someone who is familiar with our products. The wall and ceiling panels are pre-constructed, but the benches, backrest and floor mats will need to be assembled before they go in.
All our sauna heaters must be hardwired to the mains with an all-pole isolator switch – they cannot be powered from a 13 amp socket. And the electrical connection to the heater must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Handy hints:
Read our installation manual for commercial saunas.
All models in our commercial range are available with either a heavy duty heater mounted to the floor or behind the benches. Both provide a similar heat and experience but offer a different look.
Our heavy duty floor standing heater is built for commercial use over 20hrs per week. The large rock basket, long life elements and robust shell make it ideal for longer periods of heating day after day. Supplied with Oceanic heavy duty control system and heater guard.
This wall-mounted heavy duty heater is hidden behind a false wall at the back of the sauna cabin and fitted with an evaporating tray and external digital controls. It’s safer for customers to use as they won’t be able to come into contact with the heater’s hot surfaces. nstead of pouring water directly onto the rocks, customers pour it into a dish that sits on top of the false wall. The water then trickles down a hose and is distributed evenly across the rocks. This prevents water coming into contact with the heating elements, which means it should require less maintenance.
There are lots of additional design details that make our commercial saunas perfect for businesses. These include:
Extra thick 59mm wall panels made using 18mm spruce cladding, which are double insulated with foil lining.
A heavy duty tanked base suitable for wet environments.
Benches constructed from thicker 25mm section spruce.
Heat-proof panels that surround the heater to prolong the life of the sauna.
A 940mm wide door for wheelchair access.
A taller cabin at 2.2m.
All of our commercial saunas can fit through a regular internal door on arrival, so you don’t need to worry about alternative arrangements to get the kit into your property. However, before you think about purchasing one of our saunas, you need to check you can provide the following things:
A level, washable floor, preferably stone, ceramic or concrete that can be cleaned regularly.
A 25mm air gap around the cabin to allow air to circulate.
A suitable power supply. The power required for each sauna is dependent on the size of the cabin. For heaters above 9kw a three phase power supply is required.
Silicon-bound heat-proof cables to wire the heater to the control system. These can be purchased from us or your electrician.
If you're installing a drain, it will need to be regularly flushed to prevent the trap from drying out.
